What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afternoon Toddler Teacher position at Shepherd's Way Day School?
We are looking for afternoon teachers to come in and work in our youngest classrooms Monday through Friday each week. Hours for the position would be 2 - 5 : 30 pm. Afternoon teachers relieve a lead teacher each day and work with the assistant teacher for the classroom until the room is down to a one-teacher ratio. We currently have an opening in our toddler classrooms.
Responsibilities would include :
- Caregiving tasks (diaper changes, being attentive to the children's needs, etc.)
- Engaging in activities with the children.
- Communicating with parents during pick-up.
- Cleaning tasks to prepare the classroom for the next day.
Hourly rate of pay would be based on experience / education in the field of early childhood education (or related field of study). Would be a great position for a college student. Additional hours may be available. We are willing to work with school schedules, but you must be able to work 2 - 5 : 30pm at least 3 days / week.
