Lead Porter (Custodian)

Pennybyrn has an opportunity for a Lead Porter (Custodian) to join our innovative, inclusive, and compassionate life-enriching community!

Responsibilities of this position:

The Lead Porter schedule is full-time, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, consisting of weekdays, every other weekend, and hours for emergencies as needed. The Lead Porter is responsible for assisting the Environmental Services Director with cleanliness, sanitation, and providing some direction and training to custodial staff. This person will also lead the team in floor upkeep (carpet cleaning, buffing & waxing large areas), as well as sweeping, mopping, deep cleaning, trash and soiled utilities management, and set up/break down of events. The Lead Porter will also interact with a variety of employees and residents in regard to scheduled cleanings and event planning. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude with excellent customer service, the ability to be a servant leader, have a flexible schedule, meet the demands of the job, have floor maintenance experience, and prior janitorial experience in residential or healthcare settings.

Pay rate: $15.50 per hour $1.00 weekend differential!
