What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Development Specialist position at Pennyrile Area Development District?
The Pennyrile Area Development District (PeADD) has an opportunity for a Community Development Specialist in our community & economic development department. - Write and submit funding applications (grant and/or loan) for project development as a result of the establishment of community goals and objectives with local officials.
- Meet with local officials to develop and plan community and economic development, public facility, housing, public services and related projects.
- Write articles/material for the newsletter and website and give presentations to the Board of Directors on projects and/or funding sources.
- Function as the liaison with state and federal agencies, legislators, regional planning commissions, local government officials, community organizations and the general public
- Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings necessary to remain current with funding trends, related legislation and local issues.
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Administration or related field.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills are a must
- Handle a multitude of tasks simultaneously
