What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Crisis Clinician position at Pennyroyal Center?
The Mobile Crisis Clinician will provide high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services to individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. The clinician will deliver services that are trauma-informed, culturally competent, and aligned with CARF and CCBHC standards.
Job Responsibilities include:
1) Deliver mobile behavioral health crisis services to individuals by de-escalating crises, developing safety plans, stabilizing situations, and improving individuals' level of functioning to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations, Emergency Department visits, or legal consequences.
2) Conduct crisis interventions, assessments, stabilization services, and make referrals to the appropriate level of care for individuals in crisis, including those with OUD and co-occurring disorders, within the community.
3) Provide consultation, education, and establish networking relationships with community agencies such as law enforcement, industries, hospitals, jails, and the Department of Community Based Services.
4) Collaborate with the Mobile Crisis Peer Support Specialist and other team members to deliver comprehensive support and care coordination for individuals in crisis.
5) Develop individualized crisis plans that focus on least-restrictive interventions and promote recovery-oriented care.
6) Coordinate with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community organizations to resolve crises and facilitate access to appropriate resources.
7) Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and referrals to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
8) Participate in the Pennyroyal Center Crisis Response Team to support regional community crisis situations as needed.
9) Pursue ongoing professional development and training to stay current in crisis intervention methods, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices.
10) Support clients by addressing transportation barriers, including transporting or arranging transportation to appointments and services that sustain outpatient care and recovery.
11) Work an alternate schedule as needed to meet program needs.
12) Other duties as required/assigned.
Requirements for this position include:
Minimum of either (1) Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology with Kentucky licensure as a psychological associate; (2) Master's in social work with Kentucky licensure as an LCSW (or CSW working toward LCSW with proper supervision and experience); or (3) others who meet QMHP qualifications. Experience in crisis services and/or working with OUD and co-occurring disorders is preferred.
Starting Pay Range- $50,000.00-$60,000.00
Full-Time Salary
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and present proof of automobile insurance.
Must pass a legally required Criminal Records Check and a Sexual Offender Registry check.
Must provide proof of a recent (less than 1-year-old) TB skin test.
