SCHOOL- BASED/OUTPATIENT CLINICIAN
REPORTING/COORDINATING RELATIONSHIP: Children’s Services Coordinator
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The assignment of time for this clinician will be contingent on the balance between the continuity of care provided through the clinics and the school's needs.
Outpatient duties include:
(1) Provide intake, screening, referral, and crisis intervention services, including after-hours on-call, responding within one hour of the request when assigned to that service.
(2) Conduct individual, family, and group therapy for all age groups.
(3) Participate in staff conferences.
(4) Prepare psychosocial evaluations and individual treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.
(5) Provide consultation and education in the community and with community agencies including courts and physicians.
(7) Develop and implement a marketing strategy for the schools as well as the outpatient clinic to improve community relations and increase referrals from physicians, business, and industry. Develop an active practice that can generate steady income to the Pennyroyal Center.
(8) Keep all documentation and utilization reviews up to date per the Pennyroyal Center's Policies and Procedures.
(9) Provide timely feedback to all referral sources such as schools, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, family practice physicians, Department of Juvenile Justice, DCBS, Juvenile Court, and others as a marketing strategy and in line with standards of quality care.
(10) Attend required clinical and administrative meetings.
(11) Work as a team player providing a positive working attitude both inter- and intra-professionally.
(12) Maintain license to practice and obtain necessary CEUs per the Pennyroyal Center's educational objectives/plan.
(13) Attend assigned supervisory sessions.
(14) Clinician may be required to work an altered schedule and provide clinical services one or two evenings per week.
(15) Travel to other clinics will be required based on Center needs.
(16) Other duties as required/assigned.
Primary in-school duties include:
(1) Provide intake, screening, referral, and crisis intervention services at the assigned school(s).
(2) Conduct timely individual, group, family, and collateral therapies in the assigned school system(s).
(3) Coordinate opening charts, intakes, therapy notes, and obtaining business interview information as necessary to serve the identified child/family.
(4) Conduct teacher in-services as requested and scheduled by the school in concert with the School Coordinator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of Master's degree in social work, psychology, professional counseling, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited university and appropriate credentials for practice in Kentucky. No evidence of past malpractice claims or any State Board sanctions. Must pass a legally required Criminal Record Check and a Sexual Offender Registry check. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and present proof of automobile insurance. Must present proof of a recent (less than 1-year-old) TB skin test.
