What You'll Do:
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children can learn and grow.
- Assist in developing and implementing engaging curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Assist in Observing and assessing children's progress, and communicate effectively with parents about their child's development.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and enriching learning environment.
- This position is primarily based in Rockport, but you may also work in the Rockland facility

- At least 18 years of age
- Has GED, High school diploma, or enrolled in GED preparation course
- Ability to provide safe and compassionate services, and a history of honest and lawful conduct.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of hire (training provided by the YMCA).
- Child Abuse Prevention training required and provided during Onboarding.
- Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
- Work towards a CDA or Infant/Toddler Credential
- Ability to implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
- Previous experience with diverse populations.
- Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
- Commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
