Job Description
The Financial Aid Job Placement Specialist is a part-time position that is federally funded through the Job Location and Development (JLD) program. This position will help develop and maintain part-time opportunities for students interested in off-campus and on-campus positions. One of the primary responsibilities of this position is to increase participation in the community service areas. The Financial Aid Job Placement Specialist will participate in various events around campus to promote the federal work study program. The position will act as a liaison and work closely with enrolled students, department heads, and community contacts. Additionally, the Financial Aid Job Placement Specialist will develop and maintain a strong rapport with employers in the community. The required number of hours for this part-time position is 25 hours a week and will be located at the Pensacola campus. This position will report to the Assistant Director, Financial Aid Direct Loans.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate degree; or graduation from high school or GED equivalency and two years of experience in higher education. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
Salary: $16.27/hour

- Per F.S. 295.065 - Certain servicemembers and veterans, and the spouses and family members of such servicemembers and veterans, will receive preference and priority, and certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements.
- 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
