Job Title: Development Coordinator, Pentangle Arts, Woodstock, VT
Reports To: Executive Director
Classification: Part-time (5-10 hours per week)
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Director the Development Coordinator will advance the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of philanthropic donors to Pentangle Arts, a community arts organization serving the Woodstock, VT region. This position serves as a key liaison to donors in their philanthropy to Pentangle Arts. Duties include donor engagement, data management and reporting, prospect research and event coordination. The coordinator will oversee development calendar and assist with grant reporting, planned giving, and board relations. Demonstrated practical experience in administrative support or non-profit administration is preferred. Strong client-service capacity is required. The ability to handle of confidential information is essential. Experience in the performing arts is a plus. ESSENTIAL ROLES
- Oversight of donor database, ensuring accuracy of entry timely entry of donations and sending acknowledgements.
- Coordinate communications including list generation, printer and mailing logistics of annual appeals.
- Provide technical and logistical support for donor events including, but not limited to, managing timelines, activities, deadlines, tracking and coordination of guest lists, invitation mailings and follow up correspondence.
- Manage timely and thoughtful stewardship of donors including acknowledgements.
- Serve as contact to donors and prospects via events, telephone, email, mail.
- Work with director, and marketing director to establish annual development calendar and strategic plan through renewals, challenge requests and other giving opportunities.
- Prepare and participate in board meetings as needed.
- Adaptability for other duties as needed as part of Pentangle team.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and a minimum of two years of experience in development and office administration/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent technical skills on a variety of platforms, including database software, Office 365, excel and word press. Stellar client-service. A sense of curiosity and appreciation for community arts are welcome.
