Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our main office team. This role will work closely with the owner to assist in the oversight of company financials, manage accounts payable, maintain employee records, track maintenance schedules, and monitor certification deadlines across our properties. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial documentation, compliance, and assist in the development of departmental budgets.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight & Accounting
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices and vendor payments.
Administrative & Employee File Management
- Maintain employee files, including payroll documentation, certifications, and compliance records.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies regarding employment documentation.
Property & Compliance Management
- Oversee routine maintenance schedules for company properties, ensuring timely service and upkeep.
- Track and manage certification and compliance deadlines related to business operations.
- Work with vendors and service providers to schedule inspections, maintenance, and renewals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration (hospitality industry experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and financial software.
- Understanding of accounts payable, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with ownership and team members.
Knowledge of hospitality operations, property management, or event-based business structures is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 25 per week
