People Architects is excited to partner a precision machining services firm based in Solon, Ohio. We are seeking a Plant General Manager to lead customer interaction & manufacturing.
Description:
Primary responsibility: Customer Interaction & Manufacturing Oversight
Overview: Ensure quality & on-time part production through effective management of plant manager
and others. Work very close with Plant Manager & Vice President. Review requirements of each job to
ensure customer requirements are being met. Interface with customers & vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare customer part quotations
- Follow up & discuss customer job details
- Review job times & costs, track to estimates
- Review & adjust engineering masters with plant manager
- Oversee Q/C & schedule inspection priorities with plant manager
- Support plant manager and trouble shoot issues as needed
- Ensure tooling & other job related item availability when needed
- Direct report to Vice President
- In conjunction with Plant Manager, monitor and direct preventative maintenance
- In conjunction with Plant Manager, work with vendors for outside services
- Attend weekly production meeting & update customers
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of materials
- Read and understand part drawings and details
- Knowledge of machining operations
- Strong math skills to calculate machine times
- Prior machinist background
