Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Directs and coordinates provision of services and integrated, active programming under direction consistent with all applicable regulations and in conjunction with other agency operations and objectives including strategic planning and implementation of programmatic goals.
- Under the direction of the Program Director, may perform certain duties of a QIDP provided they are not solely responsible or accountable for the QIDP function.
- Promotes an environment in which peoples’ rights are upheld.
- Ensures each person has an appropriately developed program plan that is reflective of his or her needs. Maintains commitment to provide services that are responsive to the changing needs as defined by our service participants.
- Responsible for appropriate staffing activities including the selection, supervision and retention of staff to meet peoples’ needs and service requirements.
- Utilizes and manages available human resources in an effective manner including recommendations regarding staffing patterns, placements and other assignments to ensure appropriate program coverage and service needs.
- Responsible for the training and on-going development of staff to ensure and improve quality of care and services. Elicits and provides opportunities for staff input and employee involvement in and supportive corrective action as required.
- Responsible for ensuring all necessary resources are available and provided to staff to ensure their successful completion of duties.
- Keeps staff informed and trained on policies and procedures in a timely and clear manner.
- Assumes leadership role in new project assignment that support Agency strategic plans.
- Participates or chairs agency committees, meetings, and training as required.
- Responsible for fiscal management duties to ensure sound fiscal accountability within Rep Payee accounts.
- Identifies and takes the necessary action to improve quality in all areas of responsibility and effect change in a timely manner.
- Ensures compliance to applicable Federal/State/Local and other governing entities’ rules, regulations and law.
- Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree and 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years’ supervisory experience.
- Valid Driver’s License that meets agency policy.
- Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from individuals, staff, regulatory agencies or members of the community.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
- Responsible for the supervision and development of direct reports.
