What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Mechanical Engineer position at People Profilers?
You will be under the Mechanical Maintenance team responsible for the effective maintenance of plant and equipment to achieve high reliability and availability in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform scheduled plant inspections according to the maintenance regime, ensuring that our gas plant, auxiliaries, oil terminal, and common systems are maintained according to SOPs and in compliance with regulations and requirements in a safe manner.
- Independently manage and coordinate the team to execute the planned / ad-hoc Mechanical Maintenance activities.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external counterparts regarding the area of work.
- Manage and optimize all planned plant / equipment maintenance activities during minor and major overhauls and inspections.
- Supervise maintenance contract works and prepare work procedures for all maintenance activities.
- Be responsible for functional tests, analyze failures related to mechanical systems and components, and recommend corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence. Troubleshoot faults / defects issues and carry out root cause analysis.
- Study, evaluate, and implement plant improvement projects to enhance overall plant reliability, availability, and performance.
- Lead plant improvement processes to enhance availability, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency of the plant.
- Prepare technical specifications for equipment parts and work services. Plan and manage the procurement of parts and services to meet maintenance needs.
- Plan and execute works within budget and track the year-to-date expenditure against the approved department budget.
- Develop staff under charge and provide guidance on technical issues.
