Summary:
This position oversees PFC’s physical assets within our store by monitoring for potential theft, security breaches, and safety hazards, utilizing surveillance systems, conducting regular audits, responding to incidents, and implementing preventive measures to maintain a secure environment for employees and property. This position is also responsible for building cleanliness (janitorial) maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Surveillance and Monitoring:
- Actively monitoring CCTV cameras, access control systems, and other security measures to identify suspicious activity and potential security threats.
2. Theft Prevention:
- Detecting and deterring shoplifting, employee theft, and other forms of asset loss through visible presence, surveillance, and interaction with individuals.
3. Incident Response:
- Investigating incidents of theft, property damage, accidents, and safety violations; documenting details and taking appropriate action.
4. Inventory Control:
- Conducting regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and potential issues with stock levels.
5. Security Audits:
- Performing regular facility inspections to identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
6. Compliance Management:
- Ensuring adherence to company safety policies, security protocols, and legal regulations (OSHA).
7. Reporting:
- Preparing detailed incident reports, documenting investigations, and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
8. Training and Awareness:
- Providing training to employees on security procedures, theft prevention, and emergency response.
9. Facility Maintenance:
- Directing maintenance and janitorial team to address building and cleaning tasks.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience in asset protection as a lead, supervisor, or manager and experience in building maintenance.
· Strong observation skills and ability to identify potential security risks
· Proficiency in surveillance systems and security technology
· Excellent communication and report writing skills
· Ability to conduct investigations and gather evidence effectively
· Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and security best practices
· Physical ability to patrol large areas and respond to incidents
· Basic understanding of building maintenance and facility and janitorial management
· Experience in asset protection as a lead, supervisor, or manager and experience in building maintenance.
