Health and Safety Officer

The Health and Safety Officer will lead the development and execution of health and safety strategies, ensure regulatory and client-specific compliance, oversee training programs, and manage incident response processes. Your work will directly impact the well-being of all team members and the success of our operations.
What You'll Be Doing:
Strategic Safety Leadership:
Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety (H&S) strategies across all Client sites and projects.Compliance and Risk Management:
Conduct risk assessments (RAMS, LMRA), manage certifications, and ensure strict compliance with industry regulations and standards.Training and Culture Development:
Lead health and safety training programs, employee inductions, and Toolbox Talks; maintain certification registries to ensure a safe and informed workforce.Incident and Emergency Response:
Manage incident reporting, lead investigations, implement corrective actions, and act as a key First Aider.Evotix System Management:
Oversee the rollout and use of Evotix for incident reporting, safety observations, analytics, and training enhancements.Supplier and Equipment Management:
Coordinate with safety suppliers to ensure sites are properly equipped with the necessary resources and equipment.
What You Bring:
Technical Skills:
Health & Safety certifications (NEBOSH, VCA, or equivalent)
Incident and Risk Management experience
Proficiency in using Evotix or similar H&S management systems
Deep understanding of H&S regulations and compliance requirements
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
Behavioral Competencies:

Upholding high safety and operational standards
Managing multiple tasks with attention to detail and deadlines
Creating practical, actionable solutions to safety challenges
Requirements:
Proven experience in a Health & Safety Officer or related role
Hands-on experience with incident investigation and corrective actions
Strong background in training delivery and safety culture development
Ability to travel between project sites as needed
