Production Supervisor
Third Shift - M-Th 6 : 30p-5 : 00a
Must be available for extended hours
75K Salary

Primary Duties :
Provides leadership and guidance and helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.
Works with team members to ensure effective safety procedures are implemented and followed.
Recommends changes to processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure ongoing safe operations.
Relentlessly preaches the message that "Safety is everyone's responsibility" "Safety first to avoid the worst" and "What could happen if?"
Establishes positive relationships and works closely with internal resources to ensure maximum effectiveness and robustness of new product launches while also minimizing disruption to production schedules. Leads problem-solving efforts when performance is below standard, and innovation efforts to improve performance above standard.
Coach, develop, and encourage team members in lean manufacturing efforts. Including one piece flow, 5s, 8 deadly wastes, and quick changeover. Provides feedback, examples, and role modeling in Lean Manufacturing principles.
Schedules work and resources to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Organizes and allocates work to ensure due dates are met. Communicates with external resources to ensure subsequent operations and support staff to ensure efficient operations across departments.
Provides leadership and assists in employee competency development. Hire, assign, and coach personnel to ensure effective and efficient performance. Develops teamwork among the team and within the organization. Provides frequent feedback and completes all performance reviews promptly.
Identifies and recommends improvements to current processes based on impact to business. Considers cost-effective solutions with a continuous improvement mindset. Drives a continuous improvement mindset throughout the team.

Qualifications :
High school or equivalent.
Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or Business Administration preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, with 3 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Extensive standing, recurring bending, reaching, and moderate-heavy lifting.
Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
Continuous mental and / or visual attention to operating machine(s).
Must be able to lift 45 pounds at a time.
Work Environment :
Must wear appropriate safety equipment when deemed necessary
Some disagreeable elements, such as heat and humidity, fumes, etc.
Exposure to various odors, dust, cuts, or burns due to corrosive and / or heated tanks of chemicals, noise, etc.
Exposure to hazards where failure to exercise extreme care could result in severe injury.
