Description
Our Loan Officers embrace Peoples Security Bank and Trust One Bank One team brand and service philosophy, cultivate and maintain relationships while promoting and selling the bank's retail products and services at the same time demonstrating the highest level of professionalism, collaborate with business partners and key stakeholders to innovatively find ways to promote the brand, all products and services, and lead efforts in assigned region for community outreach (CRA) via realtors, community organizations and individuals.
Essential Duties:
- Deliver needs-based financial solutions to consumers in order to capture a greater market share of the bank’s footprint and to penetrate underserved areas.
- Promptly act on all referred business with appropriate follow up. When appropriate seek opportunities (by phone, virtually, and in person) to drive retail business to the branch and region.
- Monitor competition in the assigned region and share information on pricing, products, branch openings, closures and share with others.
- Be well versed in bank’s retail products and services and be capable of self-sourcing that business.
- Originate and close residential mortgage and retail loans including CRA related loans in accordance with regulations and policies.
- Build loyal client relationships and a reputation of community integrity by providing prudent financial education and guidance.
- Work with management in establishing growth, sales, and profit objectives for the assigned region. Provide periodic reporting as required.
- Implement strategies to achieve goals developed for the office and region as part of the Retail Banking Division’s annual operating plan.
- Develop and nurture an area network of centers of influence and others in support of achieving assigned goals.
- Responsible for CRA outreach efforts and development.

Requirements
Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. Residential mortgage lending experience, including a knowledge of secondary market guidelines, preferred. NMLS registration required. Notary, preferred. Securities licensing, will be considered.
Skill(s): Must demonstrate strong communication skills; exemplary interpersonal relationship skills; strong analytical and multi-tasking abilities with specific attention to detail; thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank products and services and a working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures; strong understanding of loan documentation; proficient PC skills. Bilingual Preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years retail banking experience normally required with at least five years branch banking experience.
