What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Aide/Caregiver On Call position at Peoples Senior Living?
- Must be at least 18 years old; high school diploma or equivalent GED preferred.
- Experience with elderly individuals or in caregiving is desired.
- Must meet or exceed all state and/or facility-mandated training and continuing education requirements.
- Genuine desire to work with the elderly in a setting that respects their privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and individuality.
- Ability to promptly and appropriately address issues.
- Strong communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and other community members.
- Flexibility to work various hours as needed.
- Capability to work independently while responding well to supervision.
- Good decision-making skills related to resident care.
- Understanding of elderly care needs.
- Cheerful and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Team player with effective collaboration skills.
- Adherence to hygiene, grooming standards, and company dress code.
- Good character and a reputation for personal integrity.
