3rd Shift Injection Molding Supervisor
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Shift Injection Molding Supervisor to oversee our production departments in Newton, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Train technical personnel on injection molding practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Direct and oversee personnel in various production departments, assigning work priorities as needed.
- Moderate daily kick-off meetings and maintain 5S activities on the production floor.
- Track and forward production efficiencies, scrap reduction methods, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Administer, document, and evaluate on-the-job training.
- Ensure safety and operating guidelines are followed and report any unsafe conditions.
- Compile reports on work progress, machine failures, and personnel performance.
- Schedule order, material, plate, and mold changes to meet target times.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise up to 40 employees in Injection Molding and Secondary Operations departments.
- May be responsible for supervising employees in Maintenance, Receiving, and Packing.
Requirements:
- One year certificate in Mechanical or Industrial field from a college or technical school.
- Two to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Minimum of three years' experience in injection molding or plastic technology.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
- Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word Processing software, and Inventory and Manufacturing software.

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
