Scope of Position
The Superintendent oversees and manages project installations, ensuring they meet established specifications and quality standards. This role focuses on leading field crews to maximize productivity, efficiency, and safety while complying with industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project execution by aligning with project guidelines, ensuring compliance with safety standards (e.g., OSHA regulations, manufacturer specifications), and promoting efficient work practices.
- Communicate project status updates to Operations Management and Project Management teams, including work progress, challenges, material usage, and additional resource needs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients throughout project implementation.
- Mentor and train staff on proper installation techniques, quality standards, and safe work practices.
- Ensure proper care and use of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote cooperation and achieve project objectives.
- Prepare purchase orders for project materials and coordinate equipment needs.
- Plan and execute effective job site setup, ensuring protection of customer property (e.g., loading areas, interior protection, landscape preservation).
- Document site conditions, including pre-existing issues and observations during project implementation, and take roof cores to confirm system details.
- Record and share information from preconstruction meetings.
- Ensure accurate measurements for sheet metal fabrication and related purchases.
- Prepare and submit incident reports for accidents, issues, or unusual occurrences.
- Identify and resolve project challenges, documenting outcomes and approvals.
- Conducted and documented regular site visits, including safety inspections and production status updates.
- Perform job site safety inspections and maintain safety records.
- Lead ongoing safety discussions and training sessions for field staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
