Production Supervisor
Pepper Source, Ltd. is searching for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for our Rogers, AR, food manufacturing facility!
Summary
Directly supervise and coordinate activities of 10-30 employees engaged in operating variety of machines and equipment. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
- Compute amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.
- Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Maintain time and production records.
Skills & Qualifications
Applicant must demonstrate a working knowledge of production equipment. Experience in food processing and supervisory management required, as well as basic computer skills and good communication/people skills.
Hours of work primarily 2nd shift, Monday through Friday with weekend work as needed based on production demand.
