The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for ensuring the successful performance of each dental office through improved profitability, increased quality of care and operational excellence. This position will develop and manage high-quality clinical programs and activities.
*This role is based onsite at our Lexington, KY location*
A Day In The Life Of
- Identifies clinical practices and standards of care to ensure the delivery of exceptional quality of care
- Collaborates with practices to achieve strategic, financial and growth objectives
- Identifies opportunities for resource optimization and continuous quality improvement
- Develops and monitors clinical quality control processes and systems
- Participates in overall strategic operational and clinical goal setting and actively manages against set targets to achieve results
- Strategically identifies and solves complex problems effectively with an emphasis on developing proactive approaches
- Partners with the leadership team to deploy appropriate mechanisms to ensure accurate financial budgeting, reporting and forecasting for a defined area
- Identifies trends to proactively address and mitigate financial impacts
- Oversees compliance and risk management efforts
- Leads all business intelligence and reporting and oversees IT support
- Supervises all capital projects and lease management
- Oversees vendor management and procurement
- Supervises area managers to create and maintain a high performing team that provides a high level of support to the dental practices
- Oversees hygiene program and administrative support staff
What You'll Bring To The Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or an MBA.
- 5 -10 years experience in leading a complex dental business enterprise
- Leading a team through field and support operations
- IT knowledge
- Proven working experience managing a P&L
- Strong ethical leadership abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong people skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to make projections three years into the future
- Proficient business, operational and financial acumen
- A track record of affecting positive, strategic and innovative change and improvement
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
