POSITION SUMMARY :
Supervises all warehouse activities. Provide guidance, expertise and supervision to Warehouse Associates.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES :
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.
- Supervise Warehouse Associates providing guidance and expertise.
- Responsible for all warehouse operations on assigned shift.
- Responsible for all planned objectives.
- Develops work schedules and assigns employees accordingly.
- Monitor & enforce all safety policies.
- Complete & review accident reports.
- Evaluate performance of associates.
- Responsible to ensure warehouse and grounds are clean and orderly at all times.
- May conduct performance reviews.
- May coach, counsel and provide discipline up to and including termination of employment as necessary or recommend such to Warehouse Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Sr. Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager.
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse supervisory experience, OR 5 years of general warehouse experience.
- Has knowledge of commonly used warehouse and distribution concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Previous experience in a union environment preferred.
- Lean or Six Sigma certifications preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Previous WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience.
