Delivery Truck Helper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Delivery Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the efficient delivery of goods to our customers, ensuring that all items are loaded, transported, and unloaded safely and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to lift heavy items, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This person does not need a CDL. However, we would like the employee to get a CDL while working with us.

Duties

• Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading items from the delivery vehicle.
• Ensure that all packages are secured properly for safe transport.
• Help navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to safety regulations.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and warehouse area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.

Qualifications

• Experience as a delivery driver or in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with route driving and logistics is beneficial.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet.
• Knowledge of using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
