Overview

PepsiCo, the industry leader in Beverages, has an opening for a Fleet Financial Specialist. This role will support the fleet technicians and field fleet teams in the parts purchasing and accounts payable process. The PepsiCo fleet is one of the top ten largest private fleets with equipment ranging from Light Duty and material handling equipment to Heavy Duty tractors and trailers. This role will act as a point of escalation for Fleet purchase orders and timely execution of invoice payments.


Responsibilities

  • Centralized U.S. liaison to mitigate payment delays through parts and service purchase order revisions
  • Follow the purchasing compliance SAG/SOX guidelines
  • Connecting and collaborating with other departments to mitigate potential bottlenecks in purchase order process
  • Weekly review and reconciliation of blocked invoices
  • Handling escalation and analysis of A/P problems to prevent them in the future
  • Partners with fleet operations team to drive purchase order accuracy
  • Communication with Suppliers where necessary
  • Identifies trends and recommends corrective action measures when needed
  • Provide payable improvement opportunities across geographical areas including Mexico
  • Following up on action plans with key stakeholders
  • Other duties as required

Scope of Interactions

  • 25% External – suppliers
  • 75% Internal -  field fleet teams, key stakeholders, HQ teams, management and customers

 

Working schedule:

  • Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm.
  • Salaried OT eligible.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 2 years relevant work experience in purchasing and/or payables
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of fleet operations with the desire to grow and learn in line of work
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to formulate effective action plans
  • Advanced/Proficient Computer Skills (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • Plus - Oracle and SAP.
  • Ability to learn internal maintenance and purchasing record systems
  • Uses problem solving techniques to improve process execution
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional and constructive manner
  • Willingness to embrace change and all other assigned duties for the greater good of the team
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure to include tight deadlines and multiple projects with strong organizational skills. Able to manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Proactively work to organize, respond to needs and anticipate what is needed by the individuals for whom she/he supports
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently and within a team
  • Must have a “Can Do” attitude with a willingness to assist others in completing activities

Key Skills / Experiences

  • 1 years’ experience in a fleet role / transportation role preferred
  • Manage communications through phone, email, mail, etc.
  • Advanced/Proficient Computer Skills (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel) and maintenance management system
  • Strong passion for customer service and fleet excellence
  • Ability to effectively interact and build a favorable business relationship with internal and external customers
  • Strong team player and committed to teamwork in all situations
  • Demonstrated ability to leveraging system and tools
  • Must have good interpersonal skills to interact/contribute to team and communicate with others in a professional manner.
