We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in support of a key client initiative in Beaumont, TX. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the design, implementation, and commissioning of industrial automation systems, leveraging proven expertise in Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware HMI/SCADA platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Control System Design & Development:
- Architect, configure, and program Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, etc.)
- Develop and deploy Wonderware InTouch or System Platform HMI solutions
- System Optimization & Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve control system issues in both development and live-production environments
- Implement performance enhancements, firmware upgrades, and best-practice configurations
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including clients, contractors, and internal engineering—to define requirements and deliverables
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for software builds, electrical schematics, and configuration files
- Commissioning & Field Support:
- Lead startup and commissioning activities on-site at customer facilities
- Provide hands-on field service expertise to ensure seamless system integration and hand-off
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Controls Engineer or Automation Engineer
- Demonstrated proficiency programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware HMI/SCADA systems
- Prior exposure to industrial settings (e.g., manufacturing, oil & gas, chemical processing)
- Experience with systems integrators or automation solution providers strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs
- Willingness to work full-time onsite in Beaumont, TX
Preferred Skills & Credentials
- Familiarity with additional automation platforms (e.g., FactoryTalk, Ignition, Siemens)
- Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent technical training)
Salary : $130,000 - $170,000
