Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) which is the area of concentration for this position.
Responsibilities :
Design, develop, implement and maintain Data Centers VDI solutions.
- Design and develop enterprise IT solutions across colocations, data centers, and cloud environments.
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies into the VDI to enhance server performance.
- Evaluate VDI user and client needs as well as their experience to determine need for enhancements.
- Monitor VDI performance and resolve any issues.
- Monitor tools that provide critical insights into workloads, depletion of resources, and peak loads of servers.
- Ensure data accessibility and security.
- Test and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for effective resolution that resolves root causes.
- Assess network and server architecture for efficiency, improvements, or upgrades.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of the data center's layout, systems, and processes.

- Travel : Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.
