Job Summary
Perdue Janitorial Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Janitorial Operations Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our janitorial operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing staff performance, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and experience in janitorial or facilities management.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily janitorial operations to ensure high-quality services for clients.
- Team Management: Hire, train, schedule, and manage janitorial staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of job sites to ensure work meets company and client standards; implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, resolving complaints, and maintaining positive relationships.
- Inventory & Supplies Management: Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability.
- Budget & Cost Control: Assist in preparing budgets for operations, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, company policies, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Scheduling: Develop and oversee employee schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage for all shifts and locations.
- Performance Evaluation: Monitor and assess staff performance, providing coaching and feedback to improve productivity and service quality.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular operational reports, including staffing, budgeting, and client updates, to senior management.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly address and resolve operational or staffing issues to maintain smooth service delivery.
- Training & Development: Develop and implement training programs to improve staff skills and knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in business management, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in janitorial, facilities management, or related fields, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients and staff effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scheduling software.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds, as well as perform physical inspections of job sites.
- Licenses: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to travel between job sites.

- Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by client needs.
