Busy pediatric office seeks a Bilingual (English / Spanish) Medical Front Desk to work at their Westchester office. Proficient typing is a must. This is a full-time position where you will earn $17 to $20 an hour, based upon your experience. Welcoming patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.

- Scheduling appointments in person or by telephone, send reminders and follow up on no-shows.
- Comforting patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Obtaining revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
- Maintaining business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
- Helping patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
- Protecting patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintaining operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Speaking with specific vendors regarding office maintenance, repairs, and other office upkeep.
- Sorting, logging, and dispatching incoming and outgoing mail.
- Monitoring incoming emails regarding any customer inquiries and forwarding them to the appropriate person.
- Creating and accurately filing both physical and electronic folders
- Working as a team with medical staff for optimal patient care.
In addition, you should have:
- At least 4 years of prior experience in a medical office setting (Peds experience preferred) and speak both English and Spanish fluently.
- Proficient typing is a must.
- A sound knowledge of switchboard operations and telephone etiquette.
- Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) a must, experience with Sevocity and Intergy a plus.
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word).
- Ability to multitask, attention to detail.

- Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to Front Desk Receptionist position.
- Have a high school diploma
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
