Position Overview: As an Experienced Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various security systems. You will work closely with clients to ensure their security needs are met efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in security systems and possess exceptional problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install security systems in residential and commercial properties according to industry standards and company guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on existing systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with alarm systems, including but not limited to wiring problems, sensor malfunctions, and control panel errors.
- Repair or replace faulty components of the various systems as needed to restore functionality.
- Test alarm systems after installation or repairs to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications.
- Provide thorough explanations to clients regarding the operation and maintenance of their systems.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including installation details, maintenance reports, and parts inventory.
- Stay current with advancements in alarm system technology and industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in electronics, security systems, or related fields preferred.
- Proven experience as an Alarm Technician, with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
- Strong knowledge of alarm system components, including sensors, control panels, wiring, and communication protocols.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues related to alarm systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and installation manuals.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
