Perfect Harmony Preschool is located in Suitland, MD and serves children from 6 weeks - 5 years old.
Seeking a full-time teacher for a preschool (2-3 years old) class who enjoys guiding the growth and development of young children in a well-rounded environment. Good communication skills are a must. This teacher will interact with students and parents, facilitate daily instruction, and maintain classroom order and student safety. Perfect Harmony’s hours are 6:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and teachers work a 40-hour week. The successful candidate will work closely with the director, aides, and other center staff to meet the individual needs of the children and families in their classroom. Must be willing to meet all the state licensed employment requirements.
Teacher's job duties are listed below:
Report directly to director and assistant director.
Develop and implement lesson plans for the entire student group, small student groups and individual students following state approved curriculum.
Lead the daily lessons.
Discuss lesson plans with lead teacher.
Implement daily transition activities.
Maintain classroom order.
Maintain classroom environment and appearance.
Monitor and maintain indoor and outdoor play.
Serve breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Assist children with bathroom use.
Participate in and assist with field trips, special events.
Required Qualifications:
- Associated Degree or Child Development Associate (CDA),
- Pass MSDE approved background check and medical examination
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
- Have reliable transportation
- Willing to participate in MSDE Credentialing program
· Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children including continuous standing and lift up to 35 lbs.
· Willing to receive First Aid/CPR training.
Early childcare course work/training is required.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
