- Location: 100% onsite in Mill Valley, near public transportation.
- Start Date: 3/17/2025
- Duration: ~ 3 weeks, with potential for perm hire if mutual fit
- Schedule: Full-time, some overtime as needed.
- Background Check: Clear criminal background check required.
GL Accountant Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including onboarding new vendors and assisting with Ottimate (AP automation software).
- Process month-end account reconciliations, general ledger entries, accruals, capital asset additions, prepaids, and expense reviews.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation, compiling financial information and reports.
- Identify discrepancies, such as invoices exceeding threshold limits, and collaborate with management to ensure accurate accounting.
- Support process improvement initiatives, streamlining invoice management and automation.
- Other accounting-related duties as assigned.
GL Accountant Qualifications:
- For entry-level candidates: 2 years of accounting experience, accounts payable focus required; exposure to general ledger is a plus.
- For experienced candidates (higher pay range): 5 years of accounting experience, strong GL knowledge, month-end close processes, accrual accounting, and capital expenditures.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and accounting software (experience with Ottimate, Sage, QuickBooks, or other AP automation tools is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Experience in onboarding vendors and training users on financial systems preferred.
