Prepress Operator

PREPROCESS OPERATOR

In this position the Preprocess Operator will work with a Supervisor/Manager’s written or verbal instructions to lay-out, mask, fasten, assemble sand, debur, install and functionally prepare product or material for specific shop process. Responsible for producing a quality product and completion of all assigned and known tasks.

Responsibilities

- Follow all Safety Procedures and Guidelines

-Customer Service

-Help customers load and unload parts

-Must be able to determine surfaces that require high tolerance masking using tapes, plugs, and stop off lacquers per prints, customer PO’s and Job Orders.

- Hand finish parts and assemblies as required

-Loads and unloads parts as required

- Possess the ability to identify problems correctly

-Perform quality control testing on material produced on the line

-Other duties assigned as required

Skills

· Excellent Customer Service

· Capable of working in a fast paced environment

· Must have basic math skills

· Must be trained and certified for the forklift

· Must be able to work as part of a team

· Must be able to stand for 8 – 10 hours each day

· Lift up to 50 lbs alone

· Good attendance and punctuality is imperative

· Must be able to pass an illicit drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
