Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Superintendent to join our team. As a Field Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibility:
Project Oversight & Coordination
- Managing all aspects of millwork installation on job sites.
- Coordinating with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution.
- Reviewing project plans, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance.
Team Management
- Supervising millwork installation crews and subcontractors.
- Assigning tasks and ensuring proper workflow to meet deadlines.
- Providing guidance and resolving issues on-site.
Quality Control & Safety
- Ensuring all millwork installations meet company and industry quality standards.
- Conducting site inspections to verify proper fit and finish.
- Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
Scheduling & Logistics
- Coordinating material deliveries and ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are available.
- Adjusting schedules as needed to accommodate project changes.
- Communicating with vendors and suppliers to resolve any material issues.
Problem-Solving & Reporting
- Identifying and addressing challenges that may arise during installation.
- Providing regular progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Documenting any changes, delays, or issues for project records.
Qualifications
-Extensive experience in cabinetry or woodworking, typically 5-10 years. Proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role within the construction or cabinetry industry.
-High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management, woodworking, or a related field is preferred but not always required.
-Strong project management and organizational skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
-Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
-Competence with project management software and other relevant computer applications.
-Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and precision.
-Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected challenges effectively.
-Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
-A valid driver’s license.
-Relevant certifications, such as OSHA safety certification, may be required or preferred.
