What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Service Desk Internship position at Performance Contracting Group?
Performance Contracting Group is seeking an entry-level Information Technology Service Desk Intern for its corporate IT operations based in Lenexa, KS. This individual will be designated a mentor and will have the following responsibilities:
Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, systems, and applications
Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
Shadow Agile development group and participate in core ceremonies
Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, software development, quality assurance, and business analytics
This internship will run the course of ten (10) weeks during the summer of 2025. Generally, working hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Basic Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program for Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a comparable field of study
Must have interested in customer-focused work, supporting the IT Service Desk
Must have reliable transportation to the office in Lenexa, KS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
Displays excellent customer service skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask
