Job Description
Performance Contracting Group is seeking an entry-level Information Technology Security Intern for its corporate IT operations based in Lenexa, KS . This individual will be designated a mentor and will have the following responsibilities :
- Support the IT Security team in maintaining hardware, software, systems, and applications
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and incidents
- Help maintain and update security documentation and procedures
- Participate in security awareness training and initiatives
- Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
- Document and maintain records of security incidents, configurations, and network diagrams
- Assist with regular system backups and disaster recovery planning
- Support in managing and updating security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Research emerging threats and contribute to implementing countermeasures
This internship will run the course of ten (10) weeks during the summer of 2025. Generally, working hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm.
