Job Description
PCI is seeking Journeyman Tapers for our Des Moines 587 operations based in Grimes, IA. Our success relies on the precision and artistry of our finishers and other craft professionals. Whether you're new to the trade or bring years of expertise, your journey with us begins here, delivering the flawless finishes that define our projects.
Job duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Tape, fill, skim, and sand drywall according to measurements
- Perform heavy physical labor
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Ability to perform all job duties and associated work functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and foremen
- On-the-job training offered
This position is safety-sensitive.
Basic Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform basic math
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
Preferred Requirements
- Local to Des Moines, IA preferred
