Quality Assurance Inspection Manager

Role

PDW is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspection Manager to join our team, contributing to the PDW Quality Assurance program. The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, have excellent critical thinking skills, and will play a pivotal role in assuring product conformity to PDW’s end users.

Responsibilities 

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Assurance Inspection Team and all company related inspection activities, setting a positive example, and fostering a collaborative environment with the inspection team and other company departments, promoting effective communication and teamwork. 
• Will perform inspections in relevant processes as required, to include Receiving Inspection, Sub-Assembly Inspection, Final Inspection and Final Release Verifications.
• Develop, implement, and manage Quality Control Plans and testing strategies for the organization’s products and development processes, ensuring internal and external requirements and regulations are being met.
• Manage thorough inspection processes of products and materials to identify defects and non-conformances.
• Strong understanding of Analyzing inspection and test data metrics to identify trends, problems, and areas for improvement, and develop solutions and corrective actions where needed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records of inspection results, audit findings, and metrics and other quality-related data. 
• Provide training and development to Quality Assurance personnel on quality standards, procedures and inspection techniques, to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Work closely with other departments, such as Engineering, Production Operations, and Supply Chain, to ensure effective quality control measures are enacted and maintained.
• Preparing reports on quality performance, communicating findings to stakeholders, and collaborating with other departments, providing support where needed.

Requirements 

• Strong leadership and time management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication  for effectively communicating with team members, stakeholders, and suppliers. 
• Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies, standards, processes and company procedures is required. 
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments, tools, quality control principles, inspection techniques, and relevant industry standards.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 standards.
• Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple projects, track progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks. 
• Creation of management level reporting documents and presentations.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools and Microsoft Office Suite. 

ITAR Requirement
