Diesel Fleet Mechanic Job Description:
The Diesel Fleet Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling the company's fleet of medium to heavy-duty diesel vehicles. This role includes performing preventative maintenance, identifying and fixing mechanical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies under minimal supervision.
- Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.
- Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as 'roadworthy'.
- Train/provide guidance to other Mechanics.
Requirements:
A High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent and 3-5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience are required for this position.
