Key Responsibilities
- Transport food and related products to customers in a safe and timely manner
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking tire pressure, brakes, and lights
- Manage cargo loads to ensure proper securing and balancing
- Inspect trailers and containers for damage or issues before loading
- Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle on local routes
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and coworkers to resolve issues and answer questions
- Complete all required paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license
- 12 months of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights and weekends
