What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer position at Performance Harley-Davidson?
Currently we are looking for a qualified service advisor that can join our service department. Candidate must have service shop experience either as a mechanic or previous service writer. Ideally, candidate must have knowledge about motorcycles and specifically the vast world of Harley-Davidson and aftermarket vendors. Customer communication, people skills, schedule organization, decision making and reading/writing skills are a must.
REQUIREMENTS for Harley-Davidson Service Advisor:
- Valid driver's license w/ motorcycle endorsement
- Be able to pass a background/drug test
- Be able to pass NY State Safety Inspectors exam
- General understanding of computer systems and computer skills
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and handle tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds of material
- Ability to balance and push a 500 pound motorcycle
Responsibilities and Duties for Harley-Davidson Service Advisor:
- Retail sales of parts, accessories and labor
- Minimal call backs.
- Focus on quality and customer service.
- Organization and attention to detail in a high volume environment.
- Focus on quality service work.
- Maintain clean efficient facilities.
- Dependable, organized and self-motivated.
Qualifications and Skills for Harley-Davidson Service Advisor:
- H-D experience
- Must be able to treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously, and with dignity.
- High quality standards, assuring service jobs are done right the first time.
