Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, providing them with expert advice and exceptional service. Your ability to communicate effectively with both customers and technicians will ensure that all service needs are met efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services required, including repairs, maintenance, and costs.
- Utilize strong sales skills to recommend additional services that enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service requests, and transactions.
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments securely.
- Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about new products, services, and industry trends to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in service writing.
- Strong sales skills with a background in customer service.
- Basic Knowledge of automotive systems, including air brake systems and tire service.
- Familiarity with auto service management practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to customers.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to automotive service are advantageous.
- CDK experience is plus.
