Performance Technical Sales is looking for a tenacious and self-driven outside sales rep to join our growing team. As a manufacturer’s rep, you’ll be servicing the Alabama, Mississippi and Western / Central Tennessee Territory, helping drive new product development with our customers and generating new business opportunities for our principals. This is a hunter / farmer role and will provide opportunities for both maintaining existing business and cultivating new opportunities.

We are an established electronic component manufacturer’s rep firm and a leading provider in the electronic components industry. PTS is an integral partner with our manufacturers and customers offering a comprehensive line of electronic components, interconnects and electro-mechanical products. We provide quality solutions for OEMs, distributors, fabricators, and end-users in the industrial, construction, agricultural, military, aerospace and transportation industries.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and effectively from a home / road office environment.
  • Establish and build professional relationships with Key Accounts.
  • Manage the sales process with proactive prospecting, qualification, management and progression of sales leads and prospects.
  • Develop and create new business opportunities (NBOs) within the territory.
  • Demonstrate a consultative approach to make recommendations with existing customers and principals.
  • Travel with principals to customers.
  • Coordinate the resolution of customer concerns and provide solutions.
  • Experience with overall project planning and scheduling with high level ability to plan and accomplish desired results.
  • Provide local training and technical applications support to distribution partners and customers.
  • Manage and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction within the existing account base.
  • Maintain and update internal CRM database and principal databases including updating Opportunities.
  • Qualify lead opportunities through referrals, networks, trade shows, and web resources

Qualifications

  • 5 years of Outside Component Technical Sales experience - Required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A sincere motivation to help customers solve problems.
  • Proven success at building rapport and possess the ability to provide solutions for customers and drive revenue growth.
  • Demonstrate a consultative approach and ability to make effective recommendations to company prospects.
  • Based in Huntsville, AL - Preferred .
  • Able and willing to travel up to 30% (some overnight travel required).
  • Confident, hunter mentality with a strong work ethic.
  • Performance Technical Sales will reward your talents with base salary plus commission. Benefits include health insurance, Employer HSA contribution, 401k plan, Life insurance and long term disability, paid vacation and holidays.
