PerformaX Elite Physical Therapy || Golf & Wellness Center is in immediate need of an organized and dedicated Medical Front Office Scheduler to join our staff. We see up to 70 patients/clients per day and we’re hoping to increase our efficiency by a considerable margin while still providing excellent care and support for our diverse patient population. Most of our patients are adults, between the ages of 25 and 60, who require flexible scheduling and excellent follow-through. If you enjoy fast-paced work, working with people, are good at multi-tasking, understand medical insurance and the verification/authorization process and you take a meticulous, detailed approach to your tasks, we’re interested in hearing from you. This position involves communicating with patients both over the phone and in person. We employ 2 Front Office Medical Schedulers that work side by side with each other.

FULL-TIME HOURS (Business Hours: 7-6pm, Monday - Friday, Wednesdays 8-5). Currently not needed on Saturdays.
START DATE - immediate availability; M-F 9a-6p, except Wed 8-5
Medical Front Office Scheduler Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls and book appointments for consultations, evaluations and follow-up visits
Greet patients who walk into the clinic and assist them with booking future appointments and collecting payments at time of service
Call patients prior to their appointments to remind them of their day and time, as well as insurance benefits
Maintaining a productive appointment schedule to keep clinician's schedules full
Change appointments for patients and communicate with other health care professionals about changes
Coordinate schedules with doctors, administrators and other health care professionals
Accommodate emergency appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts
Oversee all front office responsibilities
As well as:
- Obtain patient information at the time of admission and assist in filling out forms, relevant documents and case histories
- Obtain patient insurance verification and authorizations, as well as tracking authorizations
- Review and inform patients of their insurance benefits
- Bank deposits and balancing
- Organize and maintain confidential medical files and records
- Maintain pertinent spreadsheets provided by the Owner and Clinical Director
- Apply billing codes when necessary
- Collect payments and manage basic bookkeeping tasks
- Obtain and log insurance information
- Assists with monitoring inventory of administrative supplies
Medical Receptionist skills: typing, scanner, MS Office, phone skills with multi-phone lines
High school diploma/GED required
Previous clerical or administrative experience a plus
Ability to learn basic computer programs and processes; we use Prompt EMR
Excellent phone manner
Advanced communication and organizational skills
Basic knowledge of health care terminology highly desired
Fluent in Spanish is a plus
Prior experience a plus, especially if in an outpatient office or physical therapy
