Perky Beans Coffee & PB Café in Leander is currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef/Café Manager to join our team and lead a fun, growth-minded company into the future. We operate two concepts under one roof; full-service coffeehouse with drive-thru on one side and scratch kitchen, table service breakfast/lunch restaurant on the other.
The Executive Chef/Café Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions of the breakfast/lunch restaurant. Key responsibilities include hiring, managing, supervising, and training restaurant team members and ensuring a quality guest experience. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a consistent experience that is in line with the values of the company. Pay: $50,000 per year
Responsibilities include:
- FOH/BOH staff hiring, training, management, and scheduling.
- On-board and train new hires, using hands-on techniques to assess skills and conduct training on the cook line.
- Conduct daily briefings on matters of importance to the team.
- Monitor food and beverage quality and execution; demonstrate proper techniques as needed.
- Monitor and identify quantities for daily prep production.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Conduct regular product inventories to ensure that proper levels are stocked; assess ordering patterns and changes.
- Place orders from appropriate vendors to ensure timely delivery.
- Coach and mentor employees.
- Manage all aspects of guest relations and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
- Manage all necessary repair and maintenance issues.
- Assist with menu creation and planning.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- 5 years of management experience in a fast-paced, casual dining restaurant environment.
- Previous restaurant cooking experience in a casual or fine dining establishment is required.
- Proven leadership and time management skills; proactiveness.
- Expert in proper food handling techniques and procedures.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
