Job Summary
Assists with computer aided design AutoCAD MEP & Revit software preferred and peripheral equipment to develop drawings which may include 3-D and manufacturing design detail, or both.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; and
- Currently enrollment in an Associates or Bachelor’s degree program in construction, engineering or related discipline.
- Ability to read, analyze, understand, and interpret design and construction documents.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Perform routine assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques.
- Utilize BIM to assist the construction and field team in solving issues throughout the project.
- Utilize knowledge of mathematics in the preparation of drawings.
- BIM coordination and preparation of filed drawings and reports.
- Develop increased proficiency in system operation and learn how to use all software options.
- Maintain project files.
- Update procedural manuals.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) in dealing with internal and external customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to use architectural drafting tools.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
