Overview
We are seeking a team focused, detail-oriented Quality Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through thorough inspections and audits. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance processes and the ability to analyze data effectively. As a Quality Auditor, you will contribute to maintaining our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Hours of vacancies
- Hiring one team member for - 3rd shift - 11:00PM - 7:00AM
- Both team members will be required to do occasional weekend coverage.
- For approximately the first 90 days for training, work hours will be 1st shift - 7:00AM - 3:00PM then will transition to 2nd or 3rd shift after training is complete.
Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Audits on all filaments produced, beginning at the extrusion process and following to the end of the final packaging inspection
- Perform Quality tests on filaments for startup inspections, mid-check inspections and final inspections
- Approve material for spooling and hank wrapping
- Monitor key extrusion processes such as Finish roller speeds, winding tensions, etc.
- Approve finished product for packaging and release to the customer, ensuring that the items have been properly identified as conforming materials
- Determine and adequately identify nonconforming materials
- Assist the Quality Control Manager with lab testing, equipment calibrations and verification inspections, sample retention inventory, maintaining color standards, and checking extrusion operator paperwork
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and process manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems such as adding, subtraction, multiplying, & dividing
- Ability to use and read precise measurement devices such as thickness gages and Vernier/Calipers
- Ability to use and maintain intermediate level Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets

Physical Requirements
