At Perma-Fix, we excel in providing solutions for some of the most complex challenges facing the environmental remediation industry. We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Business Development Manager who is experienced in responding to RFPs typically received from federal agencies and commercial organizations; someone who is genuinely passionate about strategy and positioning us to win. This individual will help mentor a team of proposal coordinators, develop strategic / compelling proposals, and enhance our proposal management process.
The ideal candidate has strong people management, communication, and facilitation skills, proficiency in writing and editing, excellent attention to detail, organizational and planning skills, and the ability to take direction and identify priorities. (S)he will demonstrate a professional demeanor, flexible attitude, and an enthusiasm for producing highly strategic and thoughtful work within a complex business environment.
Requirements
- This corporate leadership role is responsible for supporting the growth of new business for the company through proposal management. Although technical expertise is not a prerequisite, this individual must be capable of working with a broad range of skill sets (from executives to field specialists) to lead the development of compelling and compliant proposal volumes for federal and commercial pursuits.
- This role includes client and partner-facing responsibilities, with an emphasis on writing in a proposal management role across multiple corporate operations related to environmental and waste management across the United States.
- This position also includes researching industry trends, supporting market strategies for new offerings; researching new business opportunities; leading meetings; continuously improving administrative, marketing, and proposal processes; and supporting the capture process for major opportunities.
- This position collaborates internally with other Perma-Fix business units and regional offices, with an external focus to maximize existing partnership opportunities and develop new clients.
- This position will provide support to corporate business development efforts by prioritizing client requirements in proposal settings, providing leadership for proposal teams, and enhancing existing processes and literature.
- This position reports to the Vice President of Business Development for Nuclear Services, and supports marketing, proposal, and business development activities for the division, assisting other divisions when necessary for major pursuits.
- This full-time, in-person position supports the Perma-Fix Oak Ridge Operations Center with opportunities for travel nationwide. Traditional and 9 / 80 work week options are available.
