Exempt - This position is responsible for shipping and receiving of waste materials for Perma-Fix of Florida, Inc. (PFF). This position calls for very little direction and interaction with area coordinators. However, the TS will report all deficiencies and needs to area coordinators. The TS will seek guidance from the coordinators or other support personnel in areas associated with their scope of responsibility or expertise.
Duties
- Regulatory compliance
- Waste manifesting and review.
- Quality assurance and inventory management of materials within departmental custody.
- Assist Industrial Operations Manager and PFF management staff in that areas development.
- Assigned personnel oversight.
- Material movement & handling recommendations.
- Manifest review and determination to include regulatory and compliance assessments and procedural change recommendations.
- Preparation of transportation related work orders for review and issuance.
- Coordination and scheduling of waste transportation activities.
- Verification of completed transportation and compliance work orders.
- Implementation and verification of waste tracking activities within software database.
- Supervision of transportation personnel.
- Direction of daily transportation activities.
- Identification and requisition of area related supplies.
- Daily activity reporting; initiation of non-conformance and incident reporting.
- Inventory control reporting and monitoring, as applicable.
- Document management of transportation related paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Working Conditions
Requires extended periods of sitting, telephone and computer usage at times. May be occasionally required to wear various types of protective clothing and respiratory equipment. Must be able to withstand seasonal extremes of temperature and will be subject to the outside elements.
