Crisis Response Specialist
Our team is seeking a Crisis Response Specialist to provide emergency services to individuals in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define presenting concerns and assess needed interventions.
- Initiate crisis intervention services, resolve crisis situations, and facilitate entrance into Crisis respite facilities when appropriate.
- Work independently under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistance, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention.
- Registration, Certification, Licensure or other Qualifications Required: Serve on crisis rotation as scheduled, respond to all crisis calls within 10 minutes, serve as a fill-in for other crisis staff when needed, complete all crisis logs and service documentation before ending shift, maintain utilization data on services provided as assigned by supervisor, and apply the Medicaid covered services for this position.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Ability to express self clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of the Texas Administrative Code, State Performance Contract and UM Guidelines.
