Exploration & Production Systems Analyst

Job Description

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking an Exploration & Production Systems Analyst in Midland, Texas. This position will be responsible for providing application support for multiple business units. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and organizational skills and be able to effectively collaborate and communicate throughout the entire company.

General Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and training (as required) to end users to ensure smooth adoption and utilization of applications while ensuring stability of systems.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis of issues and implement effective resolutions.
• Work closely with vendor(s) to log software defects, enhancement requests, upgrade/hot fix testing and deployments.
• Establish and monitor support metrics and usage data for E&P applications to identify trends, drive process improvements and ensure alignment with business objectives and service level agreements (SLAs)
• Ensure adherence to change management policies and procedures, including documenting, reviewing and implementing system changes in compliance with established controls.
• Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues to prevent disruptions.
• Work in tandem with IT’s Infrastructure team to ensure seamless application installations and upgrades.
• Maintain back-end system configuration and implement updates to support business processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of application support policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent experience
• Prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry, specifically supporting applications
• 3 years of related work experience in software/application support
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific knowledge of applications such as WellView, SiteView, IFS Merrick (ProCount, Carte, Field Operator), Intelex, ComboCurve, Aries or RodStar a plus
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in SQL
• Spotfire and/or PowerBI experience
